Project Twinkle

Project Twinkle is the charity arm of our ministry where we reach out to the under-privileged in our society.

As a ministry, we take sides with God to hear the cry of the needy among us and minister to their needs consistently.

Tagged Project Twinkle, every Drive is uniquely organised to meet a dire need in the slum communities we visit.

Our Charities give us an opportunity to practise what we preach with respect to the fulfilling life. We have the rare privilege to look beyond ourselves and our seeming needs, to the needs of those that have it way less as good as we do. That, for us, is fulfilment.

Executed by an ever widening network of financial partners and volunteers, Project Twinkle has always been a heart beat of the President of FSMMI, Sister Benedicta; a passion she readily transmits to all those who come in contact with her.
Our first Charity was the Project Twinkle Easter Party held in April 2016 where we gave party packs containing stationery, food items and clothing to over 600 amazing kids.

In September 2017, we had the Project Twinkle Medical Outreach with over 220 men, women and children reached with free medical aid and eye treatment.

In March 2018 we had the Project Twinkle Cloth Drive and were able to give clothing, shoes and under wears to about 1000 people; then in September of the same year, we had the Project Twinkle Food Drive where we donated food items to over 500 mothers and their babies.

In April 2019, it was the Project Twinkle Sanitary Drive where we reached over a thousand people living in the slums of Makoko with sanitary items including sanitary pads, diapers, baby beds, potties, tissue paper and other items, while sharing the love of Christ with them.

In June 2020, in the height of the Covid-19 situation that decimated economies, we responded to the needs of churches in our adopted community, providing food items much needed for the members who were now depending on them for support. We tagged this the Project Twinkle Pastors’ Relief Program.

Project Twinkle Christmas Boxes held in December 2020. It was filled with the passionate expression of love in the spirit of the season as we gave about 120 families a Christmas Box each filled with food stuff and a Bible.

Project Twinkle Easter Medicals held in April 2021, where we reached over 200 men, women, boys, girls and children with free medical aid and care. We were also able to give some clothing for children.

We are grateful to God for all our sponsors and partners who are committed to making great things happen in the lives of these people, alongside our volunteers and leadership team.
We always say that ‘Some of us are better than some of us, but none of us is better than ALL OF US’.
