Becoming One
The Bible says “the two shall become one”. (Genesis 2:24)
Did you notice the word ‘Become’? Become is a continual process. It doesn’t happen immediately you get married.
This was good news when I got married. I had thought my husband and I should never have a disagreement, we should agree on everything after all, ‘we are now one’.
How wrong I was. The thing is, when you have such an expectation, every tiny disagreement feels like the end and we tend to throw in the towel of trying to make our marriage work. That’s satan’s agenda.
‘Becoming’ one is a process and I dare say, a life long process. Expecting or assuming oneness from the get go, can cause frustration. Relax beloved, you both are BECOMING ONE. It’s a process. Enjoy the process.
